Some neat ideas in Lux Ade. I'm interested in buying this, but I think things come together better with Ozric Tentacles.

I must admit I've never heard anything from La Maschera di Cera or I've completely forgotten about it. I am rather allergic to anything Fabio Zuffanti touches, but maybe I should give this one a shot.
I find it hard to believe that it'd top The Ozrics tbh.

Yeah, I'm the same. I think it was Jim (Finnforest) who called La Maschera di Cera the Spock's Beard of RPI. LOL That pretty much sums them up for me. Big smile

I tend to agree with you regarding Zuffanti. Besides being rather full of himself and his own importance, he also has that habit - unfortunately quite common among my fellow Italians - of believing that the grass is always greener elsewhere. He probably believes that US prog bands play the Madison Square Garden every time they go out - and that because his band got a warm reception (being exotic and all that) when they played here in the US.

Needless to say, even if I cannot call myself a fan, it's the Ozrics for me - much more interesting musically.

Listened to the La Maschera di Cera and it frankly does nothing for me and I like quite a lot of RPI. Ozrics on the other hand are a fantastic band & this is one of their best albums.
