and I'm the forum terrorist.. I suppose I've always been. Instead of targeting the forum leadership as I did in Mick v.1.. now I'm into going after the gen. pop.

Well, I didn't see much yawning anymore the last few months on the forum.
The polls adrenalize us all.

Right, music is all about passion. Even rationalizing, reasonable, considerate, structure loving people like me, suddenly turn out to have a heart after all.

Hurray for Mick version 2. I have more trust in you than in Windows version 10

Even some of the words on that PT album aren't bad. It's a great little crossover album and even The Sound of Muzak doesn't plumb the depths of self-pity that Fear of a Blank Planet does.

funny enough.. it was SWilson's voice that drew me to this album.. my first exposure to PT.

Seems I got onto the PT wagon just as the wheels were falling off.. Raff likes Deadwing.. I thought it was.. ehhh... just OK.. but both of us think...quite the  less.. of the final PT albums.  LOL

The creator had a Symphony X tape, but he left it in a cab.

I'm up for that. One hell of a film. That said, I'm kinda gonna need all my bullets for The Rotters Club vs. Rush poll.

I want to like Symphony X, but They don't quite work for me. Funny when all the individual components of a song seem okay but the end result doesn't quite work. In Absentia is one of my favorite recordings now. Nothing like discovering a band years after their 'hiatus'.
More heavy prog, please!

Not if you make me listen to any more Symphony X. Tongue  Not that they don't do what they do well but I simply do not like those, or indeed any, Dioish vocals.

PT don't enthuse me greatly either.

Norwegian Blue this poll.

PT.

Right, every hippie has his break point, I suppose LOL
I don't know, Symphony X, a bit too much heavy cliches.
In my humble, personal taste of course.
And Dio vocals, yes... urrgh Pinch

In Absentia big time...................comparing Symp X to PT is like comparing The Carpenters to Genesis. Wink

Wow ... 2nd time the Carpenters have made it onto these hallowed pages in the last 24 hours. Why only yesterday, that supposed wild man of the jungle Micky professed his hidden passion. Oh lord, what is to become of us. Barry Manilow ?
