I love Judgement but I haven't heard that Swans album yet so I won't vote.

it is a looooooooo....oooooooooong album John Nearly two and half frickin hours. but it is worth the attempt. Some really great stuff on there. An album I feel may be worth the time to fully digest. Hard to judge based on 1.5 listens.. but I liked it.

Two of my favorites out of the polls. Very hard to decide since I dig them both so much, so I asked my wife to pick, thus Judgement it is.

this album isn't bad.. but no where in the same league creatively as the Swans album.
the love and the vote go to the Swans!!

You might try Anathema's second album, The Silent Enigma, Micky. It's got the dark atmosphere of Judgement, probably more so, but has some real fire to go with it, something the band completely lost from Alternative 4 onwards.

Well Anathema are well named for me, I got about half a track in before the cheese factor shut me down. I like Swans quite a lot. They get the vote.

Anathema, Judgement.

When he rides, my fears subside. For darkness turns once more to light. Through the skies, his white horse flies. To find a land beyond the night.

Neither album is a favourite (and that's an understatement), but Swans have the edge in terms of creativity - so Swans it is.
