Hello all,

I'm Pascal van den Dool and new to this forum. I'm from The Netherlands and also make music which I publish now and then on youtube. Maybe an interesting story.
My history in short:

As a just-turned 14-year-old I had fallen in love with the beautiful sound of the orchestra (mostly cinematic), and since I played piano for quite a long time already I tried to make something too, orchestral, that's where I started really. I made a kind of suite of 13 minutes and I then was proud of it!
Though... On youtube there aren't many people interested in it so it didn't get many views, but I just kept on composing. Just for myself and for fun.
I made an album of orchestral music. Took a little pause and finished my next album The Transition 3 months ago. (No the pause wasn't that long I'm still young, 15Wink) I tried to make it one big transition from orchestral to more modern music. Shortly after it I began to listen to Pink Floyd, which would be my next source of inspiration, I made my next album Space which I just uploaded a few weeks ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uS_-RSj0ano. It would be so much appreciated if you'd give it a listen, this one's really progressive rock, only without singing. Just because I can't sing...
And since then I went exploring more progressive rock, at least that's my plan. I now know almost every Floyd album (Atom Heart - Division Bell), a few solo albums and now I'm exploring Yes. Fragile's done and now listening to Close to the Edge.

Progressive rock to me is the best music there is, the most complex, meaningful and just the bestTongue
Also I like that you can really state your opinion with prog, Animals really inspired me with this. Great album!

I guess this is enough for now.

Welcome! Your not the only teenager on PA . If you play a lot of piano, you would love Emerson, Lake and Palmer!

^ True but they used to run this asylum, now it's mostly bitter old people.   Like me.
