Steve Hackett unexplicably have such huge high rated albums...

"Fish out of water" is such a solid work... definetly going with Squire.

I don't even like that Squire album while Hackett's is like a lost Genesis record so an easy vote for me.

Both absolutely brilliant.
Only one can win.
Fish Out Of Water is not as surprising as Voyage, but it is definitely more optimistic, heartwarming, and mature.
Vote for Squire's masterpiece

LOL seriously...  you do all realize Fish Out of Water is recognized to be THE supreme Prog solo album.. it was mentioned prominently during Squires obits as a definitive aspect of his overall body of work.. where will the Hatchett album rate...  come on.

better musicians.. better music.. better execution.. stop snorting the Gen-cocaine man.

whoa.... I think I need to shift to Lipton tea... perhaps I'm getting a bit tipsy but I find that strangely erotic...

but hey.. this is the wrong thread for that...  Squire ..rickenbacker...  Collins.. Bruford.. Moraz...

the genius behind Yes vs. a under-used tragic figure of prog.. escaping the hell fires of Banks domination...but still not in the same league musically..

Fish Out of Water smokes the hatchet album... come one people.. use your ears.

Easily Voyage of the Acolyte. Not a big fan of Yes and related solo albums. How they can be so popular in prog circles is beyond me.

Fish is excellent, but no match

you might ask yourself not why they are within.. but why they were and are outside..something Genesis never accomplished.. it boils down to great music.. is was univerally great music. Something anyone can appreciate regardless of genre barriers.  Only the oddballs and freaks have to rely on the love of prog fan. Far being a badge of honor not be 'above' average music fans.. those who can touch not only hard core prog fan.. but general music fan are .. sure as hell.. doing it the right way and doing it right.

Steve Hackett. His best album Heart. But it is only a hair over Chris Squire's great album.

They aren't, Gnosis rates Hacket''s album considerably higher although that's just another site's opinion I suppose.
I can't stand the orchestration on that Squire album and there's no lead guitar, it's not close. Great lineup though on that Squire record.
