Please feel to be outraged by the number of options I have callously left off.

Looking for threads with original premises. And hanging out. I'm just out and about. Coming and going as I please.

It used to be creating threads and polls until zappaholic remarked that I've made too many in a single day. 'Twas three years ago.

I joined many many years ago to discuss prog rock with like minded people, as I didn't know any prog fans in 'real life'

I made a few friends and have enjoyed the discussions. I also joined to read the reviews and browse the archives.

These days, I think I've said everything I'm going to say. Voted on which Genesis album I like the most a thousand times, so my motivation for coming on here to see what's being discussed.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Seriously? the database mainly, at first!!

I was constantly exchanging e-mails with M@X about additions and only just lurking about the forum... Took me almost six to seven months before I really started posting in the forum itself (I'd had some bad forum experiences before that)

Well, PA in general for me too. The forum though for talking. I thought the OP meant just the forum. But as for the site as a whole, yes, the database comes first. It's prog's Discovery Channel.

This is a very special little community, and I genuinely love coming on here. Although I do not review as much now as I did, for reasons people who know me are aware of, this will change because I love reviewing, and also reading reviews of people whose views I respect.

I have made very real friends here, which I do still, perhaps because of my age, find somewhat strange because, of course, I have never met any of you. The Internet age has had some bad press, sometimes justified, but it does have a fantastic ability to join people together for common benefit, and PA is, by far, my personal benefit as far as this goes.
