I'm looking for new alternative rock music to explore. Do I have to add more?...
Can't find sites with good information so I thought asking here would be good.

I'm looking for music a bit like this:

Holy Cow! Wait until the Serbian fellow gets his hands on this post. Confused
This message was brought to you by a proud supporter of the Deep State.

Some of the great indie bands might interest you: Spoon, Interpol, Antlers, LCD Soundsystem, maybe even some Libertines.
There is no dark side in the moon, really... Matter of fact, it's all dark...

Tame Impala.  Although, they're becoming more pop-oriented with Currents, but it's still worth checking out.

The first two albums from Keane are better than anything Coldplay did imo. But it's a shame they declined so much after that.
I shook my head and smiled a whisper knowing all about the place

The National does that mainstream kind of "alternative" very well, but it's offset by Matt Berninger's voice and lyrics.

Coldplay also is part of that crooning white boy sound that was especially popular in England. The Smiths and Jeff Buckley (even though he's American) were two who were famous for popularizing that kind of thing. And Radiohead, of course, is a famously Smiths-and-Buckley influenced band. And Muse, I guess.

I could recommend several bands if you were just looking to get into alternative/indie rock in general. Interpol, Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Pavement, Built to Spill, Spoon, The Strokes, REM, etc. are good starting points.

Spoon kills.

Eels are nice.

And don't forget the incredible "Stars" Set Yourself On Fire album

I like Keane, and yes better than Coldplay IMO.

I think they are quite a misunderstood band over here.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!
