Nice try, but I cannot be a misanthropist because 1. I never suffer. 2. Bad faith, bad smells, cruelty are all beyond my understanding.

not sure I understand your post - please clarify?

Could a wise person over here help us clarify please ?

I'm out of my depth. Fortunately uplifting music will keep me from drowning.

Oh yes. Here comes the Sun. Beautiful, one of my favourite songs from The Beatles. This and While my Guitar Gently Weeps (not a particularly uplifting song, though) are enough to put Harrison at the same song-writing level as John and Paul.

In light the new Anderson/Stolt release, this seems like a good time to revive this thread.

I think the entirety of The Invention of Knowledge is uplifting and life-affirming, and I couldn't be more pleased with what these musicians have produced.

Pretty much anything by Snarky Puppy, particularly in conjunction with their energetic live performances (viewable on YouTube).

Currently the Anderson/Stolt album has a rating of 4.15 based on 61 ratings. If it were allowed to be listed in the "Top Albums of 2016" listings (which it isn't because it isn't considered a Prog album but "Prog Related") it would currently be ranked about 5th.  Roine Stolt is the main producer of the album, and he organized all the musicians who played on it. Although the original demos were from Jon, the songs were changed so much, that at the end of the day, Stolt contributed fully to at least half of the writing of each track.

I just don't get why this album, or even Jon Anderson / solo, for that matter, isn't considered by Prog Archives to be a Prog album. The "Prog Related" category is used for bands like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, who mostly aren't considered Prog artists.

I agree with Hackett's Narnia and Spectal Morning Tracks. I would even add Ace of Wands to that. Anyways, I find a lot of Jazz Fusion is very uplifting. Brand X's Morrocan Roll, one of my favorite albums of all time, always puts me in a great mood.

A non-prog album from a prog artist. Virtually all the songs on this one are uplifting. Even "My Time Of Dying" manages to be optimistic in tone!
