I want to thank you all, for paricipating in this forum. PA is really the best forum I can dream of. The discussion here is so so good, rational and educative. Pa is exactly what I was looking for. Although I notice that I'm often under your level, I can learn so much from you about so many things (other than prog). I feel that I needed this, with all the corrections you gave when I was wrong and leading me to the greatest albums to take inspiration from.
So please keep saying I'm stupid if I am.

So just so many thanks to all of you guys!

^ I have to agree. Although some of the discussions make me want to pull my hair out, I have learned a whole lot.
Including how to make bourbon crabapple sauce.  Because you never know when it might come in useful.

that is the internet we all know and love... we say we'd love to see a internet (and forum) full of peace and love and all that sh*t.  I tell ya.. you all would be bored after a week of it. I know I would LOL

Why do you think so? Nobody measures the level of progginess of anybody else.

We are just a bunch of musical nerds, don't overestimate us average PA forum chaps.. Wink

You're Dutch - the most polite and friendly nationality on the planet, in my experience. Except for their football supporters, of course.

Nice to see some positivity instead of the obnoxious internet warriors who infest most sites.

Having lived there for 12 years, I heartily agree. I should add that no one appreciates music like the Dutch.  I saw more concerts there in any given six month period than I have in 13 years in Kentucky.

They have also produced more great prog bands than any nation except England (and I use that term deliberately).

Focus, Golden Earring, Exception, Solution, Trace, Kayak, Flamborough Head and Finch are all excellent and I''m sure I missed some great ones.

You got that right, bubba.

Glad to see this place has had a positive influence on you, Pascal.

So nice to see all this positiveness guys!
@octopus-4: Maybe it's not that bad but I hardly know 20 prog albums and haven't got many experience overall.
Though it can be even better to yet have to discover so much beautiful music!

I think I've learned from you too, so thanks to you also. Hopefully we'll keep helping each other.

I have never been very active in the PA Forum, but I can honestly say that this site (mainly the database
to which I'm glad to bring my own contribution) has meant and given an awful lot to me over ten years. Heart

So: THANK YOU!

Well, speaking as one of the mega old-timers (I remember when there were less than 30 of us on the forum), it's good to see such positive feedback from a new member - good on ya!

I'm not here anywhere near as much as I used to be, so I don't really know how things are here generally now, but if a newcomer feels welcome & inclined to leave positive comment about the forum as a whole, sounds like things are ticking along nicely

Some of us old-timers will remember the flame wars, revolutions, factions & crossing of many lines in the old days (I felt like - to quote BOC - a veteran of a thousand psychic wars).

Welcome, DDPascalDD

I'd discount their soccer players as well. I've played with a bunch of Dutch players over the years and they are the most argumentative lot I've ever met once you cross the white line. Lovely once you get off the field.
