Hi, I want to suggest Swiss project Nik Bärtsch's Ronin. Yes, it is a jazz group, but they have strong rock/fusion groove. I think that belongs here because their compositions are highly structured and also proggy.

- Rea (2004)

Good luck with the suggestion, love this band, not sure how proggy they are.

I'm familiar with them from before and I like them but I'm gonna say no, more an ambient jazz band with little to do with rock.

We have a long running Minimalist Jazz thread on PE and these guys are pretty much accepted as the best example.
