Two mostly ambient albums, one, the unexpected last album by the mighty giants Pink Floyd, the other by one of todays leading prog artists (Duda).

Have to give it to the young rising stars. Walking On A Flashlight Beam is chills and power like a mighty iceberg.

I'm sorry but come on..

There is no competition.

That was Lunatic Soul's best album, better than anything Riverside has put out vs Floyd's dying breath?

I agree it's not close at all and this from a huge Pink Floyd fan. For me Floyd are far from being relevant these days including Gilmour's solo album.

Pink Floyd is the greatest band I have ever heard of by a very very large margin. But Soul produced probably my second favourite album of 14.

Couldn't have said it better. Absolutely one of the best works of 2014, it probably would have topped my list of releases from that year had I not snoozed on listening to it and getting around to it only earlier in 2015!

And I hadn't really thought about it...it's definitely better than the two most recent Riverside albums, but yeah...might be Duda's defining musical moment to date overall.

While probably my least favorite LS, I still vote for it here.

Oh well, for me, it's Floyd easily. Lunatic Soul was nice, but Endless River really got me getting back to it over and over.

Walking on a Flashlight Beam >>>>>>> The Endless River.
