Dogs.

Their best track of any length IMO.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Echoes, followed by Shine On

P.S. wasn't Sheep in the "short tracks" poll?

Animals is my favourite Floyd album with Meddle not even hitting the top 5 - still in the track competition it's Echoes.

Shine On might just as well be my all time favourite song, so I go with that one. Though Echoes and Dogs are very close indeed, and I was tempted to vote for Dogs because it really deserves more love than what it's getting.

An unbelievably tough choice:
- Echoes is once of my favourite pieces of music full stop.
- Shine on is too, I can't split them, love them both.

So two rolled gold classics. And I've always liked the AHM suite too - but have listened to it less frequently than the other 2.

But it just happens the other night I listened to the full AHM suite and found there was barely a moment that I didn't enjoy - so it's now so close between these three epics it doesn't matter.

As AHM needs the love more (and it certainly gets bagged in some PA reviews of that album), then AHM gets my vote, this time...

Echoes, followed by Dogs and Shine On.

I'm positively surprised to see Atom Heart Mother with so many votes.
I used to spin it all the time. Long day of school, tennis afterwards, bike home, directly into my room, cow on stereo: fly.

Atom Heart Mother for me too!

Dogs over Echoes

I always find the AHM suite a bit of an endurance test to sit through - if it had been by any other band I probably wouldn't have persisted for more than 5 minutes of it.  Much prefer the tongue-in-cheek Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast (and the rest of side 2) to be honest.

Love all these pieces dearly, like, really close to my heart, but, Shine On is beyond perfect, just can't beat that intro, and the 2nd half of the track........part of my molecular construction............
