The House, The Street, The Room is my fave GG tune (River not that far behind), so I went with that. Love that gritty sound to it - the almost chain saw-like guitar riff. Umm yum.
After Octopus they seemed to have interchanged that wonderful raw feel with a rather sterile studio enhanced production.

Memories of Old Days is my overall favourite GG song, together with His Last Voyage. But there are some more good picks here: Playing the Game, Free Hand and Three Friends.

Between the beautiful "Three Friends" and the swerving joy and power of "The Advent of Panurge".

From the ones I know on this one, House it is. I too like their earlier material better, and I think this one is a great example of why I like the first 2 albums so much.

This is really difficult, as Gentle Giant is one of my favorite bands. I'll have to say 'The House, the Street, the Room', love the Black Sabbath feel to some of the guitar.

despite being on a very weak album (Missing Piece), Memories of Old Days is one of my fave GG tracks.
