Of these, Schulze's Mirage and National Health (I chose Mirage, and it is a great album).

I think myy real favourite of the year though would be Franco Leprino's Integrati ... Disintegrati (no album I like more than it).

Also worthy of note is Univers Zero's 1313 (my favourite UZ album and sad it missed the list), Archaia, Stormy Six's L'apprendista, Clivage's Regina Astris, John Greaves' Kew Rhone, Island' Pictures, Goblin's Suspiria, Dionne-Bregent's Dieux, Wkahevitche's Nagual, Resident's Fingerprince etc.

Great year for my tastes, but then so is most every year.

Songs from the Wood.

Then Rush, then Pink Floyd.

Hmm, still not cool enough to vote yet.  I admit I've only listened to 4 of these, but I'm gonna have to go with Kansas over Pink Floyd, Yes, and Rush.  Animals is a great album, but I do think Point of Know Return is nearly perfect.  You'd think I'd choose Yes, but Going For The One isn't one of my favorites ("Awaken" is a masterpiece, but I find the rest of the album to just be okay.)

Speaking of Point of Know Return, does anyone else think that "Lightning's Hand" sounds like a proto-Iron Maiden song?

Also, where's Grand Illusion by Styx!  Or Out of the Blue by Electric Light Orchestra!  :P
