Jethro Tull (SFTW)
Blue Oyster Cult (Spectres)
Be-Bop Deluxe (Drastic Plastic)
Alice Cooper (From the Inside)
ELO (Out of the Blue)
Moody Blues (Octave)
Jethro Tull again (Heavy Horses)
UK (Danger Money)
UFO (Obsession)
Journey (I dunno which tour - I wasn't really interested)
Blue Oyster Cult again (Cultosaurus Erectus)
Black Sabbath (Heaven & Hell)
Tangerine Dream (Exit)
Gary Numan (Replicas) - my gateway to the '80s!

Some of those bands opened for others on the list, but I considered them important enough to be listed. I recall lots of other also-rans that opened, like Rick Derringer, Nash the Slash, Winger, Black Oak Arkansas...
I just realized I saw all of these bands plus many more within about 3 years' time. Them was the days.

Zodiac Mindwarp & The Love Reaction
Mötörhead
Paul Samson's Empire
Iron Maiden
Cinderella
WASP
Anthrax
Metallica
Dio
Bon Jovi
Virus
Lääz Rockit
Kreator
Cro-Mags
Nuclear Assault
Overkill
Megadeth

I've included support bands (Zod, Paul Samson). And I feel obligated to say that I only saw Cinderella, Dio, WASP and Bon Jovi because they were on the bill at a festival we went to to see Metallica and Anthrax. Also, Voivod would have been on the list except their appearance at ‘Christmas on Earth’ was cancelled because they were stopped at customs, much to our disgust.
Soldato of the Pan Head Mafia. We'll make you an offer you can't listen to.

I have not seen very many prog bands. Of bands on this website, ones that I've seen (in chronological order):
Plini
Intervals
Animals as Leaders
Phish

Prog or not prog, the first ten bands I saw live:
Echosmith
Pentatonix
The Wallflowers
Panic! at the Disco
Weezer
Guns 'n' Roses
Plini
Intervals
Animals as Leaders
Maceo Parker
I use they/them pronouns (feel free to ask me about this!)

Check out my music on my bandcamp!

Pretty much a guess as to the first 10 but I’ll try

Camel (82)
Hall and Oates (when “Maneater” was the hit)
America
Chicago
Twisted Sister (opening bands: Dokken, Y&T)
Go-Go’s (with a relatively unknown INXS opening - that’s who I really wanted to see)
REM (‘85 with the Minutemen opening - which made a huge impression on me)
Circle Jerks
Psychedelic Furs
Love and Rockets
My other avatar is a Porsche

I didn't start going to gigs until my 20s. Leaving out obscure local bands, and probably forgetting several names, these are my earliest

The Wurzels
Chumbawamba
Big Audio Dynamite
Psychic TV
The Residents
Butthole Surfers
SWANS
Carcass
Frank Sidebottom
Napalm Death
Glenn Branca
Suicide
rotten hound of the burnie crew

Not sure the list will be all that chronological ("if you remember the 70's, you weren't there" thingLOL), but all of them should be before the passing of the 70's

Rush (I guess this was 2112 or Caress Of Steel High-school tour, given the set-list I remember >> totally too high that eveningEmbarrassed)
Max Webster (Borrowed Shoes HS tour, if I guess by the set list... But at least four times afterwards)
Supertramp (Moments tour)
Triumph (RnR Machine tour + two more times before the Just A Game album)
Genesis (ATTWT tour)
Goddo (An Act of Goddo high-school tour, I think)
Yes (this became the YesShows tour album)
Neil Young (Rust never Sleeps tour >> see DV of same name)
The Police (Outlandos at The Edge ... only 13 people in attendance, all of them had won tickets from the Q-107 FM radio, yours truly as well)

Also in there somewhere:
Grateful Dead (in Syracuse NY State, but not sure this is in my first 20 concerts or a bit later)
ELP (in Montreal at Olympic Stadium)
Harmonium (In Montreal for l'Heptade tour)
Alvin Lee solo (got in under-aged at the El Mocambo club)
Rory Gallagher (see above)
Canada World Music Festival (this would summer 79, I think and well, it should've been the  CBS North Am Music Festival reallyLOL, incl Mahogany Rush, Aerosmith, Nugent, Nazareth, Ramones, Goddo (again), Johnny Winter) >> another totally too high dayEmbarrassed

I had tickets in my hands for the Stones' "free concert" (in Oshawa) for the Blinds after Richards' drug bust, but couldn't afford them, so I passed up on it. Cry (Same thing later for Floyd's the Wall tour in New YorkDeadCryDeadCryCryCryCry)

My post dates for almost two years now, but I'd forgotten  to mention the local punk bands, like The Viletones, The Diodes, and especially Teenage Head (a few times)

Okay, gonna have to reach into the wayback machine for some of these.

1. Rolling Stones/Heart/George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers (1981)
2. The Who/Jethro Tull/John Cougar (1982)
3. Rush*/Rory Gallagher
4. The Kinks/Looker (1983)
5. The Moody Blues**/Stevie Ray Vaughan
6. Blackfoot/Krokus/Twisted Sister (1984)
7. Heart/Shooting Star (1985)
8. Blue Oyster Cult (1987)
9. Buddy Guy/John Campbell (1991)
10. Luther Guitar Junior Johnson (1992)

* Saw them again 5 more times as a headliner (with Max Webster/Mr. Big/Tommy Shaw/ or alone)
** Saw them again 3 more times as a headliner (always alone)
