Jethro Tull (SFTW)
Blue Oyster Cult (Spectres) Be-Bop Deluxe (Drastic Plastic) Alice Cooper (From the Inside) ELO (Out of the Blue) Moody Blues (Octave) Jethro Tull again (Heavy Horses) UK (Danger Money) UFO (Obsession) Journey (I dunno which tour - I wasn't really interested) Blue Oyster Cult again (Cultosaurus Erectus) Black Sabbath (Heaven & Hell) Tangerine Dream (Exit) Gary Numan (Replicas) - my gateway to the '80s! Some of those bands opened for others on the list, but I considered them important enough to be listed. I recall lots of other also-rans that opened, like Rick Derringer, Nash the Slash, Winger, Black Oak Arkansas... I just realized I saw all of these bands plus many more within about 3 years' time. Them was the days. |

Zodiac Mindwarp & The Love Reaction
Mötörhead Paul Samson's Empire Iron Maiden Cinderella WASP Anthrax Metallica Dio Bon Jovi Virus Lääz Rockit Kreator Cro-Mags Nuclear Assault Overkill Megadeth I've included support bands (Zod, Paul Samson). And I feel obligated to say that I only saw Cinderella, Dio, WASP and Bon Jovi because they were on the bill at a festival we went to to see Metallica and Anthrax. Also, Voivod would have been on the list except their appearance at ‘Christmas on Earth’ was cancelled because they were stopped at customs, much to our disgust. |

Pretty much a guess as to the first 10 but I’ll try
Camel (82) Hall and Oates (when “Maneater” was the hit) America Chicago Twisted Sister (opening bands: Dokken, Y&T) Go-Go’s (with a relatively unknown INXS opening - that’s who I really wanted to see) REM (‘85 with the Minutemen opening - which made a huge impression on me) Circle Jerks Psychedelic Furs Love and Rockets |

I didn't start going to gigs until my 20s. Leaving out obscure local bands, and probably forgetting several names, these are my earliest

My post dates for almost two years now, but I'd forgotten to mention the local punk bands, like The Viletones, The Diodes, and especially Teenage Head (a few times) |
