Look out the Hawks are a second half of the season team.

The north is sure full of tanking machines. I believe the lions have a legitimate chance to win it.

IF they don't shoot themselves in the foot, which has a fairly high chance to happen.  Otherwise, yes, the rest of the division is in a tailspin and I'm okay with that. LOL

Giants 7-3!
Not gunna question thisLOL

Part is an easy schedule, can't deny that but seems Vernon's broken hand is heeled up, and Collins has taken a big step in his second year.

Speaking of NFC north tanking machines...yup. Green Bay is officially in panic mode. Rodgers seems to be ALL they have. Feel for the guy, doing all he can, but the ship is full of too many holes. Reminds me of the Giants of the last several years...Eli literally dragging the team to even their sad record.

Dak is legit. It's funny I of course hate the Cowboys, but less so with Dak. I can at least be fine with them having success. I guess Romo is like that long time rival you hate, but when it's over realize there was a quiet respect...ya know, the enemy that you've battled so long you kinda grow to like and has been part of the legacy. Just weird to imagine Dallas without him.
Fear not, still hope they lose and I am sure within 2 years at tops I'll hate Dak tooLOL

Well, helluva way for Thanksgiving Day to start!  Lions are essentially up two games in the division now with a sweep of the Vikes.  Slay came up HUGE on that last drive to get the INT and set up Prater with good field position.  Our offense needs to stop missing so many opportunities, though.  The dropped passes are going to kill us going forward.

hah...

Since 2008, eight NFL teams have trailed in the fourth quarter in each of their first 11 games of a season. The other seven teams were 4-73 (.052) through 11 games. The Lions are 7-4 (.636)

Giants win! I know it's Cleveland so it's a college team basically but always a good confident boost to have a fairly clean stat sheet and nice win.

JPP had 3 sacks and a return TD, not bad for a guy with 8 fingers. Vernon continues his sack streak, defense continue to play well. Yeah....the Browns, but still, good morale boost.

Went to the Seahawks game today as I was in Seattle to see my daughter, had a great time, place was packed and noisy with everyone in team colors, place was rocking, loads of fun.

Speaking of boring, that Jet game last night was awful.  It seemed they mailed it in, more so than the Panthers did Sunday night.

Steelers took care of business against the Giants Sunday.  Looks like it is going down to the wire for the division with the Ravens again.  Right now they have the tie breaker, but they still play each other again.

HOLY sh*t.
That was one epic defensive battle. It was ugly, but that Giants defense was lights out. All game long, made Dak look not so hot. Was playing damn good right up to the very last play. Amazing.

Cowboys btw 11 wins - 2 (Giant) losses!

Some ugly games this week, Seattle was certainly one of them.
Really tough to figure what's going on.

I hate to say, because I had sooo much faith in him, perhaps Wilson isn't quite as good as believed, now that he's alot more on his own.
Can't fault the guy for being put into a superb situation, but seems perhaps that was it.

Much like Dak, playing damn brilliant but also is on a top 5 (3?) team in terms of talent. Saw last night what he became when under duress

Seattle's offensive line cannot protect Wilson. Playing hurt with the chance of getting hurt some more may affect Wilson's performance. On the defensive side the loss of Earl Thomas is major. He really cannot be replaced. Look for the Hawks to draft some offensive line help.

You can never doubt Russell Wilson.  He's had some bad games, but he's had WAY more games where he's a flat out magician, making things out of nothing, with little help.  He simply had a bad game in the Lambeau cold (he's never played well there) and the defense didn't respond well without Earl.

JJ, our teams are playing this weekend, and so much is on the line for both teams.  I'd like to think that the Lions could hang with both the Giants and the Cowboys and they'll have their chance to prove it the next two weeks.

Giants winSmile 10th on the season!
Another very impressive defensive effort, offense wasn't brilliant but saw some marked improvements: Run game was better, pass protection was better (the return of Pugh has been huge) and no turnovers.
Just like Dallas, Detroit isn't an insignificant offense, so feeling pretty good about this defense long as they stay healthy.

Indeed, this win was huge, really helps our wild card spot

Until today's loss, 12 and 4 was still a possibility.  Shocked  Unfortunately, knowing the Lions, they can and maybe will lose their next two against the Packers and Cowboys and miss out on winning their division again.

That GB-DET game will hopefully be flexed into SNF (assuming the pack wins next week and the lions lose of course). It should be a good one.

I tell ya, addition by subtraction CAN happen.
Stafford was already developing, very nicely, but the loss of Johnson means he, and the team, have to adjust and up their game. Much like Eli losing Tiki and Shockey, or later Plaxico (aka throw it 7 feet in the air and assume he'll grab it)
