Liked them better when they disappeared.

Now, I know that Radiohead had brought an orchestra in for the new album, and that when this song was teased last decade Thom mentioned something about said orchestra... but I never would have expected this.

And it's killer. Great use of strings, all very tense and driving and yet cathartic. New album is going to be masterful.

This song was worked on during the sessions of Kid A, Hail to the Thief, and In Rainbows, which is believable. It reminds me of those albums mushed together with a more orchestral sound. Overall, I really like the song. And the video too. I'm a sucker for stop-motion. Thumbs Up

This orchestral sound reminds me a bit of Owen Pallett's He Poos Clouds album.

I rally like Burn the Witch. The orchestral sound sounds pretty different to me from the chamber pop of Owen Pallett, but I know what you mean. Lovely to hear that ...Poos..., been a while since I've heard it.
Just a fanboy passin' through.

The video definitly gives a vibe from both Bob the Builder, Postman Pat and Fireman Sam, but also have a James May like strangeness to it and a tupsy-turwy Trojan Horse element, love the use of plastecine-cley animation: Haribo should make a toy line out of it.

The animators say that it was especially inspired by another classic claymation show, Camberwick Green.

Anyways, this song will be released as a 7" single backed by the band's rejected theme for Spectre in independent record stores near you.
