Topic: a noend of mine - Crossover Prog Posted: May 05 2016 at 15:17
It is hard to decide on the subgenre, but the inspiration behind this band is all proggy. I would say it's either Crossover Prog or Experimental/Post Metal.
a noend of mine is a project by Alex Vynogradoff (Vin de Mia Trix, Kauan) and Anton Belov (Kauan, Helengard), based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Influenced by artists like Opeth, Steven Wilson, Katatonia, Pink Floyd, Anathema and Cressida, their music is a melancholic prog rock with predominant acoustic guitars. The debut album The Serenity's Eve, released on March 15, 2016 by Pest Productions, is reminiscent of Opeth's Damnation, Katatonia's Last Fair Deal Gone Down, Wilson's Grace for Drowning and Anathema's Natural Disaster.
Here's the lyrics video of the first track off The Serenity's Eve
