I just noticed how close the ratings of both ITDC's albums are: 4.01 and 4.02. Which one do you prefer?

No vote. I've only heard the debut and I don't like it all.

Definitely the first one for me. Both fine albums, but while the follow-up is probably more ambitious and sophisticated, the arrangements on the debut are a little more memorable. I also think the vocals on the second album get just a little monotonous, so they drag the energy of the album down in a couple of spots.

But still, two great albums, and their live DVD is beautiful as well.

I still have to get Alienatura but I love the debut. Can't vote, just thought I'd compliment the first album.

I know, I read your review. I think the production of the second one is better but I'm not sure if it would be to your liking.

Their vocalist had huge shoes to fill, fortunately Elisa sings a few times to add some variety. It definitely gets better with more spins though Smile

Indeed! Thumbs Up

Maybe I should give it a go then. 2016 seems rather weak compared to last year's RPI releases, so why not trawl back in time?

Isn't that the truth! Every year somewhere around september/october people (some at least) start thinking about the AOTY thang and woe and behold: wonderful albums suddenly start raining from the skies. Never fails! I remember my good friend Sagi mentioning just how little he'd been impressed by ca halfway through 2015, yet by the end of it he was swimming in music - just like your's truly. The change for me this year is that I already own a bootful of great albums from 16...even if I still am RPI free.

I had only a handful of albums in mind around this time last year (my top 5 basically) but by the end of the year I was considering more than 60 albums, not to mention very recommended albums I didn't check Tongue I only have 7 albums from 2016 only two are on PA and one under evaluation for Crossover.

I listened to both yesterday one right after the other and the production of alieNatura is definitely better to my ears, not as cold as the debut (especially the drums don't sound as tame) and less normalized. Another vote for alieNatura Smile
