Seconded Approve. I did not mention it on my list, but it was the #3 in my top 10 of 2011.

Shocked no one's mentioned Heaven & Earth...

The correct answer is The Flower Kings' Banks Of Eden.

^Nice one. I have completely fallen for Syd Arthur. Maybe not the archetypical prog band by any stretch of the imagination, but man they're good. I utterly adore Liam's vocals.

^ It's a lot stronger than the ratings suggest.......
I love it to bits. It may not 'break any new ground' as such, but superb nevertheless.

Gawd, there's been numerous albums that have made an impact on me.
The first one that comes to mind, where every single note counts ; MAGENTA - The Twenty-Seven Club.
Out-friggin'-standing !!! Another seldom '6 out of 5' album for me.

so many great ones.... if I had to pick one...

got to be Ut Gret's Ancestors Tale... now that was musical, lyrical... and my god Cheyenne's singing... perfection.  Simple perfection that album.  Hands down the best album of the last 6 years IMO.
