I trust you're running this by one of the teams yourself Olav? This part of the forum isn't the most frequented these days. I gather there's still a good amount of hangover left from the Serb ie the teams all seem to have back catalogues.

Nah, just placing it here so that it won't be forgotten. I still don't see all the fuss about the workload by the Serb though, he averaged one suggestion per day or thereabouts while active. Rather far removed from a crippling workload, at least by my standards. But yeah, have seen the lack of activity here and there, hence why I choose to not forward 99,9% of the artists I encounter that should be checked and possibly added here.

For those who don't like spotify:

Síntesis was formed in the mid 70s in the city of Santa Fe. The Band recorded and released their only album in 1976, but the military coup in the country that year caused the departure of some members, and led to the premature end of the group.

The self-titled album is divided into only six tracks - all instrumental, and totalling less than half an hour. Described as well-crafted progressive rock, with quality musicians and jazz influences - possessing frequent passages of sax and clarinet, and also Italian and Symphonic Prog touches, mainly on flute and violin. There are also the more usual guitar and drums, but the personnel listing on http://www.rock.com.ar/bios/3/3985.shtml isn't quite accurate -Juan Carlos Ricci actually played bass (which can clearly be heard in the music), not drums.

Here is a site where a remastered version of the album is for sale (including a bonus track, 'Reminiscencias' (5.30) and unreleased photos of the trio who were the core of the band)http://sitemusic.com.ar/es/home/3269-sintesis-sintesis-reedicon-remasterizada.html.

Musicians:
- Jorge Migoya / electric guitar, arrangements and direction
- Juan Carlos Ricci / bass
- Julio Alberto Cusami / drums

Guest musicians:
- Chachi Ferreyra / alto sax (tracks 3,5 and 6)
- Mariano Zarich / tenor sax (tracks 3 and 5)
- Oscar Tissera / flute (tracks 2 and 6)
- Sergio Polizzi / violin (track 2)
- Santiago Aldana / clarinet (track 6)

All tracks composed by Jorge Migoya.
Recorded at Sound Centre Studio, Buenos Aires on 24 and 25 March 1976.
Remastered in 2015 by Luis Suarez, and reissued by the label Blue Art Records in April 2016.
