No, not Mr. Howe or Mr. Hackett. Not even Mr. Hillage. I'm talking about SteveG, a regular contributor to this forum up until a few months back. You were at times annoying, Steve, but at least you made things interesting.

I recall SteveG posting that he was leaving the forums, though I don't remember if he came back or not. It seems like he did.

I believe that he was banned for bad behavior.  Along with other personas from which he posted.

I also enjoyed his posts and I don't recall any 'bad behavior'......but then I'm not one of the mods.
I believe he posts regularly over at Progressive Ears.

I had no problems whatsoever with Steve, who was always very nice to me. However, he did fly off the handle more than once, and one day he went a bit too far - hence the ban. As to ProgEars, he went very close to being banned there too, no later than a couple of weeks ago, and for the same reasons. I know he was under a lot of pressure because his wife was sick, and then she passed away.

I do remember the "open letter to ProgArchives", after that he was suspended.

This is humbling news. Losing my spouse would drive me around the bend, so your post puts things into perspective. Come back soon, Steve, if any reported ban isn't permanent.

Was always very insightful before he went offtrack. Very sad news indeed about his wife.
Hope he comes back fresh.

I still bitch at Steve on the ProgEars site. I also bitch at Svetonio over on ProgEars. You'll be happy to know he still doesn't know what he's talking about. Somethings are timeless and without change. Wink

I believe he was angry that religious/political argumentation was discouraged here and he made a large rant about it. I could be wrong.

I always liked Steve anyway and would love to see him back.

I thought this thread was going to be about HolyMoly Steve.

Miss him.  Anyone know if he will return, it has been almost a year since he logged in.

That's what I thought too. I thought he was an Admin...did he step down at some point? I don't remember.

I don't know. He seems to be focusing on the rest of life right now, which is understandable because PA can be time consuming, especially when you get involved in the wrong crowd (us shredfolk).

My thoughts exactly. I miss Steve big time.
Don't think he'll come back though. He is probably having too much fun in the real world.

As for Steve G? I can live without the drama.

Seeing Steve (HolyMoly) mentioned makes me a bit sad. We met him for dinner at the end of March 2015, when he was in DC for a conference. He more or less dropped off the radar a few days later, and I've never been able to dispel the suspicion that we made such a bad impression on him that he decided to leave PA for good. Not that I had any inkling of that during the few hours we spent together, but - as Jim Morrison once said - people are strange. Since then, I've seen him around on FB (though not often), but he's never made any move. I don't believe Micky and I are such bad people Cry.

He disappeared suddenly off the radar and did not return. Just like another Admin, harmonium.ro, some four years ago.

Sometimes I miss the two Steves. I liked them both somehow.

And here I was looking forward to meeting you both in September....At least I've been warned.
