If you have played an Xbox 360 or Xbox One game you should be familiar with the "Achievement" concept. Basically you complete a special, meaningful task. Once you complete this task everyone online can see it. It's something to brag about.

So what are some good achievements in the world of prog?

I'll give you some:

  • Have King Crimson's "Providence" and GY!BE's "Providence" on your iPod at the same time.
  • Buy a 2016 prog album.
  • Listen to Opeth's "The Moor" right after VdGG's "The Sleepwalkers".
  • Install an audio system in a cottage somewhere in the forest, and play "The Lodge" by Agalloch.
  • While flying over the Atlantic ocean, listen to "The Whirlwind" in its entirety.

Buy a 2016 album, make it Dream Theater the Astonishing, listen to it from the beginning to the end in one sitting! An even bigger achievemnt woud be listening to it for a second time! (The last one I will probably never achieve)

Read all of George Orwell's Animal Farm while listening to Animals by Pink Floyd on repeat

I proudly have achieved both of these

Hmmm, I am going to Ireland soon and I was planning to buy Phideaux's Doomsday Afternoon for the flight/trip, but maybe I'll get The Whirlwind for the way back
