Cirkus. My fave song from the pre-Wetton/Bruford lineups. And the super slowed down 9+ minute version on the Live in Detroit '71 Collectors Club album is devastating!

Surprised 'Cat Food' is the only one with no votes atm. How many of you have heard this version of 'Cadence' with Greg Lake on vocals?
I guess it's on the 40th anniversery edition. My Crimso CDs consist of the 30th anniversery editions and the earlier 'Definitive' versions. Woe is me.
Lake with Cadence is on all the original versions which of course all us old timers own.......I don't like the remake with Belew.
The original release of In The Wake of Poseidon featured Gordon Haskell on vocals for Cadence and Cascade. I didn't even know there was a version with Belew.

You're right , ..Lake did the other tracks but for some reason Haskell did that one.......odd....but even odder is that on the Boxset that came out in '91, Frame By Frame....Fripp remixed the track with vocals by Belew. I have never been a fan of his voice though his guitar work is interesting.

I believe I read in an interview that Fripp said he had Belew redo the vox for the Frame by Frame box set because of ongoing legal issues with Haskell, or that he didn't want Haskell to receive any further payments, or they weren't on speaking terms or something along those lines. Not only that, on the Frame by Frame box Haskell's bass parts on Bolero from Lizard were replaced with Tony Levin...ouch.
Anyway, I'm with you on Belew...interesting guitar work but his vocals turn me off...as far as Cadence, Lake's version is OK but I prefer much Haskell's...

I'm going to go with Cat Food. Although, I love all three...
