"Wolf City" is (for me) one of the best rock albums ever done.

The only weird thing is that the CD releases are all backwards, and start with Side 2 of the LP (Surrounded by the Stars) and the album flows better the other way.

"Surrounded by the Stars" is the first track on the A-side of the LP, so the order is correct.

I have the U.A. gatefold and side 1 starts with Surrounded By The Stars - and that's how I've always known it.

That's the original track order as released in Europe. It was the American LP release that reversed the sides.

My top three as well, all 5 star albums. Love Wolf City and Carnival In Babylon as well. What a band!
Picked Tanz today.

Yeti, Yeti, Yeti..

Saw that live; would have rather seen Amon Düül II live.
Just a fanboy passin' through.

Not surprised CIB has no votes. Good album but the weakest of the five.

I love all of these records, big time! I wouldn't want to chose between Yeti, Tanz and Wolf City though - all of which I consider masterpieces.
The telepathic ways of Yeti versus the schizophrenic genius of Tanz or maybe just go for the stellar songwriting (and incorporation of the two formerly mentioned trades) of Wolf City? Nahh I literally have no idea which one to vote forWacko
I consider that a good thing.

All great but this is probably my order too.

Same here. Carnival is quite charming actually; it'd probably get more love if it wasn't surrounded by all these other monster albums (but then who'd have discovered it?).

Wolf City has always been my #1 Düül, with Phallus Dei a close second. Dig Yeti and Tanz too, but Carnival in Babylon has always seemed like a clunker to me.

a tough one. I will go with "Tanz der Lemminge" this time, but "Wolf City", Phallus Dei" and "Yeti" are great as well
