King Crimson Smile
This not mean that I ignore another great bands in this list like TD , E.L.P , Egg , Soft Machine , Rush and Genesis. Honestly I don't like Genesis (from 1978) era as Genesis (before 1978) !

KC just over SM.

ELP. I sincerely prefer KC line-up with David Cross. Egg and SM (Kevin Ayers, Mike Ratledge & Robert Wyatt [Not Prog]) are fine too.

I would pick King Crimson, but they had the collaboration of David Cross, who was listed as a guest, but played throughout the whole album, and I believe he played live with band at that time (I'm not totally sure about this). So I will go with ELP.

ELP, then Crimson.

On Red, David Cross only played in one track, the improve "Providence". In the rest of the album they have Mel Collins or Ian McDonald. As far as I remember, the only song they play only the 3 of them is on Red itself. David Cross played with King Crimson live before they released Red, but not after (starless was already regularly played live before it was officially released on Red).
