I suggested the band Mudvayne (which I know has been suggested a long time ago) a few days ago and I now see the thread was locked without any reply from collaborators or administrators. I was sure my points that I had brought up were at least acceptable enough to address, or perhaps I was mistaken. Would it be alright if I was given an explanation?

As you know, they've already been suggested quite a few times and rejected (even in Related subgenre). They've not released any album for this decade so there's no sense to discuss here. Thanks.

They haven't been rejected for Experimental Metal as far as I'm aware, which was what he was suggesting them for.

Experimental Metal category was present when they were suggested in 2007 and 2010. The 2007 OP actually asks if they are EM. Jody (then leader of the PMT) knew the band's music very well and didn't see them fitting in any category here, nor did any either of the other two PMT members who commented in the 2007 suggestion thread.
