Yugen - Death by Water
Zs - Xe
Fire! - She Sleeps, She Sleeps (Probably my least favourite trio or trio+ album of theirs.)
Fire! Orchestra - Ritual (And this is probably my favourite orchestra one. It's also the better Fire! album released last year, IMO. Usually I prefer the trio/trio+ ones to the orchestra ones, but not this time around. 2016, what did you do to my Fire!? LOL)

Bushman's Revenge - Bushman's Fire
Bushman's Revenge - Jazz, fritt etter hukommelsen (Went to their 10th anniversary show, at Café Mono. They're a great live act, so they didn't disappoint, but they played a bit too much from their last record, which, though it's a grower, I'm not really a fan of. Won't go into details as to why here, let's just say I'm hoping for something a bit more hard-hitting next time around. Wink)

Motorpsycho - Blissard Vol. 1: The Original Album
Motorpsycho - Blissard Vol. 2: When the World Sleeps (The KiT Sessions, 1994) (The lost MP album. I can understand why some fans would like this released on vinyl. Wouldn't be inappropriate to give this a stand-alone release, though I'm fine with it as part of the Blissard deluxe box set. Good stuff anyway. Easily prefer it to Blissard, which is just OK in my book, nothing more, although there's nothing as magnificent as "S.T.G" on WtWS. Well anyway, the conclusion is I need to spin this one way more often. Smile)

Island - Pictures
Bubu - Anabelas
Jethro Tull - A Passion Play
King Crimson - Lizard
King Crimson - Islands
King Crimson - Ladies of the Road (An interesting live album with recordings from the time around the recording and release of Islands. I'm especially intrigued, and equally irritated, by the version of "The Letters" found on here. An early version, I believe, with, it seems, the lyrics not fully fleshed out yet, or perhaps it was a mistake by Boz singing the same line twice? Anyway, a shame, as the lyrics is an essiential part of the song, IMO.)

Motorpsycho - Heavy Metal Fruit
Rogers Waters - Is This the Life We Really Want? (Gave this to my dad for Christmas. Listened to it with him while we drove to and from the family cabin one weekend. A nice enough album, but not something I would buy for myself. Too much of the same from Mr. Waters for my liking.)
Motorpsycho - The Death Defying Unicorn
Motorpsycho - Still Life with Eggplant
Motorpsycho - Behind the Sun
Motorpsycho - Here Be Monsters
Motorpsycho - Here Be Monsters Vol. 2
Motorpsycho - Begynnelser (Their most interesting release since En konsert... and their best since Unicorn.  Didn't find the play (which I went to see at Nationaltheatret) that interesting though, but my impression of it may change when I take the time to watch the DVD, been too busy wtih TV-series lately, hooked on House of Cards right now. Smile)
Ulver - Wars of the Roses (The main reason why I didn't get to watch the DVD before I watched the play (although I also wanted to see the play with fresh eyes and without bias towards earlier performances), and partly the reason I still haven't watched it is because I was hooked on the TV-series The White Queen and, although to a lesser extent, it's sister series The White Princess at the time. As they are based on the Wars of the Roses, I naturally played this album on my way home from the show to watch some more. Smile)

Dungen - Allas sak
Dungen - Häxan
Biosphere - Departed Glories
Møster! - Edvard Lygre Møster

Reflections in Cosmo - s/t (A furious live act. Went to see them for the second time, and they were excellent once again. The album have some growing to do though, a lot tamer than expected from such a formidable quartet.)
Aluk Todolo - Voix (They played this at the venue before the concert, so, of course, I had to put it on when I came home. Smile)
SOT - Kind of Saltz

Never knew his last name, but, if it's the case, it's pretty obvious now, Guldbamsen=Guldbrandsen LOL. Btw, that was my grandmother's maiden name, might've been spelled a tad differently though, come to think of it.)

Deathprod's 26 min. epic "Komet", as its most interesting features.)

Motorpsycho - The Tower (Arguably their best since Unicorn, although I find Begynnelser a bit more interesting as it's more left field. Listened to this before their show at Oslo Concert Hall, where they displayed their usual performance in a live setting, i.e. with high energy and volume, but the sound was, sadly, awfully muddy where I was sitting. Not the ideal venue for a rock band, methinks.)

Holy feaces that is quite the come-back post Audun

It was actually pretty interesting reading and cool to see what you've been spinning lately. I'm the other way around regarding Bushman's Revenge in that I vastly prefer the recent slow ooze spicing things up instead of the 100 miles an hour onslaught, which still is a lot of fun. I just dig the ebb and flow of dynamics in Jazz... in the same way I prefer Elephant9's Silver Mountain which also dug deeper into more floating and chill atmospheres...though still packed full of Carolina Reaper bits!

Where is the new Ulver btw? Heh I think I am in the minority on this one but I love it to bits regardless of its pop sensibilities and electronica. Judging by what you're currently listening to I fear you'll hate it with a vengeance

I have The Tower btw...just haven't gotten around to it yet. Must rectify.

I also didn't spot the most recent eventyr album from Tusmørke called Bydyra. I got it here the other day and am head over heels in love! It sounds like the music from one of my favourite Danish cartoons 'Cirkeline' - y'know that saucy good slightly psychedelic yet highly melodic jazz rock that often adorn old school tv shows and cartoons.
There is even a song that includes the high pitcted mouse vocals of what I presume is the Norwegian cousin to our Danish Ingolf (think the mouse voices off Cinderella).
Sounds like Dungen were hired to make an album for hippie children.

Oh and you're quite right I did the frontcover to Cascata. My name sounds very close to Gudbrandsen (the famous Norwegian valley) though with an extra 'l'.

Last night and this morning/afternoon:

Electric Eye - The Poisonous Tree (Have you heard this one Samuel? Very nice psych rock with flute and real old school organs. One of those rare modern acts who can pull off songs rather than jams (I dig both styles equally - just a matter of how it's pulled off))
Dave Holland Quartet - Conference Of The Birds
ZU - Jhator (One of the year's most interesting and baffling releases. I don't quite know what to make of it yet but it was a real experience yesterday)
Area - Caution Radiation Area
Causa Sui - Vibraciones Doradas
Skream! - s/t (best dub step album ever!)
Susanne Sundfør - Music For People In Trouble
Everything Everything - Get To Heaven (I hated this album when I first heard it. Now I absolutely adore it. Go figure)
Com Truise - Iteration
Here Lies Man - s/t (Early Black Sabbath goes Afro-Funk)
The Heliocentrics - A World Of Masks (AOTY? It's close)
Franco Battiato - Fetus

^ I heard one song on the radio and it didn't encourage me to listen to the whole thing, maybe because I was expecting something more free of form, like the debut. I think that one was very well balanced in that aspect. Anyway, they released three albums in the last year and I'm finding difficult to follow them.

What do you think of the new Causa Sui? It's currently high on my list and it keeps getting better!

Three? I only have and know one of those. Oh well.

I enjoyed the new Causa Sui. It's very recognisable Causa Sui and it rocks. As of now I still vastly prefer the triple live LP cut in Copenhagen from earlier in the year. Great sound and they are imo at their best live. Also why the studio recordings sound live...but the real deal brings a certain oomph to the procedings that I really dig.

^ I really should look into that set. I'd absolutely love to see them live, it's probably the most desired band by the local Psych community now that Colour Haze finally played here. I'm rooting for it next year ;)

Today:
Magnolia - Con Fuoco
Torga Ostera - Queda Ascendente
Wobbler - From Silence to Somewhere
