How did you go with that one, Sam? Vocals are a bit rough, but...meh, love it anyway! The debut is even better if I recall, but my favourite is their previously unreleased `Not Too Late', which was recorded in the Seventies but never released. It's a cracker of a jazzy-rock album
The song tracks and vocals are a bit embarrassing but it's quite trippy. I'll check their later albums as well Smile

I recommend you their s/t, Willy and the Poor Boys and Pendulum. Specially those albums are really great songs that are not commonly in any compilations (for example Walk On the Water in the first album is sooo great). I love all their albums except Mardi Gras.

Me yesterday:
Paysage d'Hiver - Paysage d'Hiver

It was nice, didn't really blow me away on the first listen, but then I can't yet pinpoint exactly what it's going for. Aside from a few sublime atmospheric moments, most of the tracks felt slightly inconsequential, with lots of pleasant, well-recorded, but not particularly memorable guitar lines. I still need to parse out the album, and I rarely make final judgments on first listens.

Understandable. For me personally, it was love-at-first-hearing. It is probably kind of inconsequential, as you are saying, but the warmth and human-ness of it just wins me over. It really sounds like home to me. And I admire that try to avoid making final judgements after first listens.

Today:
Tangerine Dream - Vampira
Asmus Tietchens - Nachtstücke

Coincidentally, I heard one of its tracks on the radio and honestly I wasn't much impressed, it sounded so close to Elder's style of late. I'll give the full album a listen though, maybe that was the worst song.

This weekend:
Progenesi - Ulisse l'Alfiere Nero
Star One - Space Metal
Girón - Stones

Do you know what the particular track you heard was, mate? Because I felt that most of the album was superb, with a really big and expansive sound. If I have one complaint it's that often the vocals are mixed very low, or are very drifty and dreamy and hard to make out what they're saying. I'm not sure off the top of my head if the LP comes with the lyrics, pretty sure it doesn't. Perhaps give it a spin on Bandcamp and see what you think of the rest of the tracks?

https://weedpecker.bandcamp.com/album/iii

Last night for me:

Osanna – L’Uoumo
Pierrot Lunaire – s/t
Exploit – Crisi (cool early RPI/rock-pop album)
Ptarmigan – s/t (lovely acid-folk LP)
Cluster – Konzerte 72/77
Modu – Mod01
Orphic Signals – Sounds of the Neutron
Giron - Clouds

Harmonia – Live 1974 (Tymon, I bet you love this one! Great sound and wonderful pieces!)
