LOL

Never played that in the 80s, so this was a first-spin for me.  Surprised. I liked it better than I thought I would.

I told you about it, great instrumental Psych, mastered by Jonas Munk Wink

Il Paradiso degli Orchi - Il Corponauta (something about this release that I really dig - it is something that crystalises on the two ending tracks but rather omnipresent throughout...although the vocals can take a little getting used to...for me)
You should, it's my favourite after Mirage Smile

I totally forgot about that album, even though I'm sure it was on my AOTY list of that year Embarrassed

Still last week:
Emtidi - Saat
Todd Terje - It's Album Time
Kanaan - Windborne
Superdensecrushloadfactor - Until I Find Out It's Something Else...
Yellow Magic Orchestra - Solid State Survivor

All 80's weekend:

Damn...yeah sorry about that. I can’t seem to remember anything these days

I never really paid attention to Rain Dances but perhaps I should. Felt very Canterburian during certain cuts.
Been spinning Il Corponauta a lot lately. I dig the fact that Fabio didn’t overproduce this debut of theirs.

Yesterday:
All Traps On Earth - A Drop Of Light
Rivendel - Sisyfos
Needlepoint - The Diary Of Robert Reverie
Far Corner - Risk
Go March - ll
Jacco Gardner - Hypnophobia
Ángel Ontalva & Vespero - Carta Marina
Galasphere 347 - s/t
Methexis - Topos

Definitely some possible AOTY candidates amongst this lot...most notably Sisyfos and Robert Reverie.

It's trash day in my neck of the woods...

Stacey Q - Better Than Heaven (1986): I've been looking for something like this. Craptastic trash of the highest order, "Two of Hearts" is the smash, but who cares when we got something like "Music Out of Bounds" to enjoy. An ode to non-conformity overlaying some of the ditziest, vapid 80's pop-music ever conceived by man, woman and beast. A poopalicious joy, much like the rest of this neon time-capsule. No ballads either!

CeCe Peniston - Finally (1992): It could be worse, her name could be Coochie McScrotum. Her voice is a gem though, lots of soul gracing these songs that bring out the early 90's like no-ones business. Lots of house-dancy stuff, plus some new jack swing and slow jams. Everyone and their penis stones have heard the title track, but I dig some of the others too, especially when she pulls it in for some lower register octaves.

I should be getting the prog bug again soon, but I'm having too much fun TBH. I'm itching for some Lisa Stansfield now.

I'm having a ton of fun avoid prog too. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Cherry Glazerr is awesome and way more fun than Snail Mail.  Have you guys seen the promo video for "Nuclear Bomb?"  LOL  And if you enjoy that one, "Told you I'd be with the guys" is a cool track too.

Don't forget to check out Breathless, their most Canterburian track is there Wink
I wonder what you'd think of the new one from La Coscienza di Zeno, it's more similar to the debut, not crowded with overdubs but it's very classy Smile

in some cases I would say 3x is excessive, but not in this case.

Kinda lost track but let’s see:...

MOI | Absolutely Free
Amen Dunes | Freedom (not to be confused with Amon Duul)
Colin Newman | A-Z
Xiu Xiu | The Air Force (may have made a strange band discovery here. Of course I’m not the first. They have a dozen albums)
Soft Cell | NonStop Erotic Cabaret (first listen. they weren’t kidding about the cabaret part. burlesque house music.)
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard | Polygondwanaland (slowly getting into this group)
Saccharine Trust | Surviving You, Always (Brewer’s vocalizing has been a huge influence on me since forever)
