Cool! It's been a while since I heard it. By the way you mentioned Hermeto Pascoal the other day, I might see him next week.
Awesome, Sam! I’m brand new to Pascoal’s music, though I’ve known the name for years. I found that Slaves Mass LP a couple of weeks ago and am so glad I bought it. It’s pretty amazing.

Good to see you, Nick

Just a few for the last couple of days:

Pallas – The Sentinel (1984)
Outer Limits – A Boy Playing The Magical Bugle Horn (1986) – Japanese symphonic gem from the mid 80’s with glorious playing/instrumental passages but rather painful vocals

Omni – Solo fue un Sueno (2007) – a largely unknown symphonic instrumental gem that deserves more attention, picked up the LP of this when it came out

Pendragon – Passion (2011) – Bravo to Nick Barrett for attempting a rap on the title track!

Ozric Tentacles – Paper Monkeys (2011)

Oxhuitza – s/t (2013) – a very cool Italian instrumental debut from a young band that deserved a follow-up (awesome cover art too)! Not too far from Unreal City in some spots. Pretty sure Fabio Zuffanti was mentoring them at one point?

Not a Good Sign – Icebound (2018) – the finest release from this eclectic Italian band, bristles with so much power and constantly schizophrenic ideas.

Dream Theater— Live at Budokan ( 4 hrs of magic. Terrific bluray audio in 5.1 DTS. One of the best concerts they’ve ever done. Truly a Prog Metal experience.

Just a few seldom-played selections today:

Walpurgis – Queen of Seba (1972) – Certainly no Krautrock classic, but a damn fine dirty psych/bluesy rocker with gruff vocals. Seems stronger with every spin

Poseidon – Found my Way (1975) – lovely melodic German rocker with gentle fuzzy edges and warmly raspy vocals.

Oko – Raskorak (1976) – uneven but cool Yugoslavian heavy psych rocker, I seem to like it that little bit more every time I dig it out (got a reissued LP)
