Tonight's choices:

Yes – Tales from Topographic Oceans (first LP)
Eloy – Floating
Transatlantic – SMPT:e
I.Q – Road of Bones
Cellar Noise - Alight
Alpha Wave Movement – Echoes in the Vacuum

Tangerine Dream – Quantum Gate (very good effort. Waaaay too long, and it’s probably more a very reliable prog-electronic effort as opposed to a great Tangerine Dream album, but still very respectable)

I love that Clearlight debut too! Heh but for some reason I always think of Jonas (UMUR) when I see it mentioned. He wrote a 1 star review of it aiin it to the kind of muzak one encounters in an elevator Tbh the recurring piano line does have a certain whiff of muzak over it...but I wouldn't go that far personally
Be sure to check out the subsequent albums!! They veer into the sort of bubbly Krautrock territory that this debut only hints at from time to time.

^ I see he's not much into PE and related (1 star for Irrlicht!?), so it's understandable. Symphonic is probably not the best genre Clearlight.
I listened to the album because my music was compared with Clearlight but I couldn't hear it on this one. I'll check the next ones.

Who compared you to Clearlight? Just curious. I could see a vague connection to the subsequent two albums (Delired Cameleon Family and Forever Blowing Bubbles) but then again it has been a while since I last span either of them. Seems like a job for today actually
