How did you end up going with this one, mate? Admittedly the first track is the least interesting part of it, but I hope you made it a little further on from that!
I heard the whole album but I can't say anything at first listen, especially since it's so intricate and I didn't pay that much attention. I enjoyed it though.

Since Friday:
Kingston Wall - I
Casiopea - s/t
Casiopea - Eyes of the Mind
Gong - The Flying Teapot
Klaus Schulze & Pete Namlook - Dark Side of the Moog Vol.5

^ Agreed, Barbu. Bought the CD over the festive break - and find I keep going back to it. Master of Time is a beautiful cover indeed.

How is that Faust album Mårtte? I don't know it.

Live that Caravan album. Gets far too little attention round these parts.
I really loved it! It´s really experimental, well I think Faust hasn´t made any conventional albums, but anyway in the Faust-meter it´s one of their most experimental albums. It´s on the same line as their studio albums of that time. But I loved this more than Ravvivando. Really loved that Caravan too, although their later lives are also great, I think their playing was just greater in the seventies.

Hi Mårtte
Sorry for the late comeback, but I am currently preparing for my new job and there are about a hundred small things I have to get sorted befors monday. It was actually a hesrtsarming surprise to find that I had to wade 2 pages back in order to find your post. Means that people still post on PA - more frequently these past few months....which is rather assuring when I think about how deserted this place can feel.

Faust experimental? News to me Nahh but I do find that they have a way with it that not only feels and sounds organic, for lack lf a better word, but also always manages to sound playful verging on the naive. If you haven't yet checked it out, then I strongly suggest you find their most recent album 'Fresh Air' and give it a whirl. Quite simply the best I've heard from Faust in a very very long time. Definitely among the finest releases of 2017 imo.

Hey Samuel was that your first spin of the new Faust album? If it was anything like my first time (giggles) it was a bit confusing. I think I needed one or two more spins before it made sense.

Gentle Giant - Aqcuiring the Taste (Yes!)
Gentle Giant - The Power & The Glory (No!)
Yes. It was confusing and confronting but definitely intriguing Thumbs Up

What!? Two awesome albums for very different reasons and moods.

Confusing, confronting and intriguing? Yep that sounds about right
I'm not sure what it is but I have a hard time with anything Gentle Giant released after Octopus. Feels like prog for prog's sake imo. Pretty much goes against popular opinion, I know. Folks tend to favour Glass House, Freehand and TPatG.
Oh well they can keep em as long as I've got my copies of AtT, Three Friends and Octopus

Greetings and salutations good sir. I trust you find the forum adequately heated? We've set the termostat since you last visited, so it should be comfy in here.

I span that Hoenig album here the other day and it actually reminded me of you. I recall how highly you think of it.

Also pretty cool to see you're still spinning that Art Fleury album. We all need a little absurdity in our lives

Me yesterday:
Pharoah Sanders - Elevation
Elvis Costello - Armed Forces
The Horrors - V

As well as some modern Canterbury flavours:
Suburban Savages - Kore-Wa!
Schnauser - Irritant
Homunculus Res - second album with the insane long title
The Winstons - s/t
Alco Frisbass - s/t (nope. Still not friends with the programmed drums. Everything else is top notch though)
