Came back from a superb 3-day music festival in Katowice, got to see so many amazing artists. Ariel Pink, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Yasuaki Shimizu, Bo Ningen, Furia, Oxbow, Grizzly Bear, No Age and many, many more. Among them was also Sensations' Fix! Michael, I remember we talked about them sometime ago and you wanted to know what they sound like these days. They were nothing like the old 70's Sensations' Fix, but by no means worse. They played an excellent set of kosmische techno - very deep, primal stuff. Franco Falsini also played really cool guitar over those pulsating ambiences. Really enjoyed that concert.

Some stuff I listened to over the last few days:

Autechre - EP7
Ariel Pink - Pom Pom

[QUOTE=Meltdowner]
^ That will keep you busy for a while :P

What did you think of LZ III?

I crumbled, Sam....I threw it in after `The Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging'! Not that I don't like the album, just that I've overdosed on it a lot over the years!

I liked LZ III, will give it another listen shortly. I honestly wished I had the second album so I could listen to them in order...hopefully come across it pretty quickly.

My choices last night:

Atlantide – s/t
Genesis – The Lamb Lies down on Broadway (first LP…kind of onto the rest tonight)
Acintya - La Cite des Dieux Oublies
Asia – Alpha
Starcastle – s/t
Yes – Heaven and Earth

Wonderful, Tymon, thanks for letting me know, and glad you had a great time! So it did kind of sound like we expected!

^^^ Only saw TBJM out of these. Just a tiny bit anyway, I took a nap instead LOL I never heard of the others.
Falsini really is the Italian Göttsching.

^^ I don't like that track and a few others from the first disc. The DVD had video and I payed more attention to it when I was bored with the music. That way I discovered I much prefer the second disc.

Yeah, there's a lot to like on that one. II is much like the debut but better. III is much different.

Today:
Gong - Expresso II
Casiopea - 4x4
Herbie Hancock - Head Hunters
Jiro Inagaki & Soul Media - Funky Stuff
Atoll - Musiciens-Magiciens
Tantra - Mistérios e Maravilhas
Astrodome - II

Luca Turilli - The Miracle of Creation
Epica - Epica vs. Attack on Titan Songs
Epica - The Quantum Enigma
Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - Prometheus

Psyched to see Ariel Pink and the BJM at the same fest! 2 of my favorite current bands .

One Man Two Guvernors (soundtrack) (multiple times)
James Ferraro | Clear
James Ferraro | Last American Hero
James Ferraro | Far Side Virtual
James Ferraro | Night Dolls with Hairspray
Helmet | Aftertaste
Spoon | A Series of Sneaks
James Ferraro | Heaven’s Gate
James Ferraro | Multitopia
James Ferraro | On Air (this one rules!)
Helmet | Strap it On
Helmet | Monochrome
Can | Future Days

To explain:
One Man Two Guvernors is a musical (British comedy) that I’ve been listening to a lot because I will be taking part in a local production of it in a couple of months. I’ve agreed to be the bandleader for the musical portion. Exciting! Jack from Rare Goat will be helping me. Still trying to recruit others.
