And David! My god Stu can groove! Tomorrow I’m gonna try and get into Ghost in the Machine. ;)

Tonight and last night.

Dream Theater— A Change of seasons
Black Sabbath— Mob Rules ( can’t put this one down. )
Threshold— Critical Mass ( surprised it is the highest rated here on PA. The title track is amazing though. )
Blue Nile— Hats ( the pure art of chill)
re Hank Rollins
I’ve followed his spoken word material very closely since he started doing it! Hours of talks I’ve probably listened to hundreds of times by now.
He was definitely a big Damned fan. In one of his stories, Black Flag first toured the UK in ‘81, opening for them, and he was so jazzed about that. The audience hated the band though.

Last night.

Fear Factory— The Industrialist ( getting back into the Spirit of these guys. Their last and final album will be out next month. Sad but true. The legal / court battles amongst the members have been ridiculous and tiresome. )

Genesis— The Lamb lies down on Broadway. ( absolutely incredible. I can understand why so many love this album, but what I appreciate the most is Gabriel’s absolute freak mind. His lyrics and whole story behind this album is dark as sh*t. )

Ayreon— The Theory of Everything. ( this is my favorite from him. I’m considering buying “the Source.” )
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

More fun. More glory.

Pendragon— Introducing Pendragon. ( Disc 1 only. Incredible Barrett guitar. Makes me wanna pick up Love over Fear. )

Symphony X— Underworld. ( ok. I’m wanting another from these guys. What an album. )

Queensrÿche— The Verdict. ( it’s ok. Todd is no Rockenfield that is for sure. Zeuss production is good. Mastering is not. )

Concrete Blonde— Bloodletting. ( incredible. Album versification of expression is beautiful. )

Devin townsend project— Live in Plovdiv ( Watched all this in 5.1. A 3hr show. My GF was annoyed. Lol)

Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Haya guys!
I've been trying to get back to stuff I haven't heard for years, I'm going through my cds, lps and downloads alphabetically plus new music that I'm interested in so lately...

Zyma - Thoughts
Zomby Woof - Riding On A Tear
Zamla Mammaz Manna - Family Cracks
Zaar - S/T
Yonin Bayashi - Isshoku Sokuhatsu
Yonin Bayashi - Golden Picnics
Yog Sothoth - S/T
Yeti - Things To Come
Yeti - Volume, Obliteration, Transcendence
Xang - Destiny Of A Dream

Electric Mud - Quiet Days On Earth (Definitely one of the best albums from 2020, a beautiful and subtle blend between post rock electronics and more, very very recommended)

Hey Hey!
Going backwards alphabetically I see - good idea. I sometimes miss those items on the lower shelves. I have listened to both of those Yeti albums recently though. “Things to Come” got a relatively rare 5-star review review here from me. The Electric Mud sounds intriguing too.

Not too many listens lately but while I’m here —

Magma | Zess (so glad they finally released a full studio arrangement of this. Loved it on the 1981 Bobino set)

Ultimate Spinach | Behold and See — psych proto-prog that’s really impressive. High quality stuff

King Missile (Dog Fly Religion) | They — very early Missile, when Dogbowl was on guitar and writing most of the music. It’s not nearly as obnoxious as they would sometimes get later on (though I love a lot of that later stuff). This is more like bizarro hippie folk rock wulith offbeat lyrics, half-spoken, half-sung.

Rare Goat | What’s an Acworth? (Live) — haha... an old tape of my band performing live at a friend’s party in 2012. The band hasn’t played together in so long but it got me excited about playing again (I’ve pretty much ignored my guitar for a very long time)

Viagra Boys | Welfare Jazz — art post-punk, I suppose. They’re Swedish. I think this is one of the few 2021 releases I have so far.

Sagi!! Welcome back to the best thread on PA created by you many moons ago. :)
Hope you dive into your collection fast and successfully. :)

Tonight.

Judas Priest— Nostradamus ( it is so oddly good. Judas Priest went way out of their comfort zone and I think they succeeded. Did not chart well but who cares.

IQ— Subterranea: live in Tilburg 1999. ( really digging this album. 2nd spin in as many nights. )

John Foxx— Minematiic ( terrific 80’s electronic album. )

Chroma Key— Graveyard mountain home. ( can Kevin moore just officially release another chroma key album already ! This album is bloody brilliant 10/10. Loved revisiting this one. Hard to believe it has been in my cd collection for 17 freaking years. ;)

Oceans of Slumber—- ST ( I don’t think there is a better female vocalist in metal right now than cammie Gilbert. Christina Scabbia? Move over. ;)

Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣
