Topic: Vanished post count Posted: August 26 2005 at 20:24 |
Have I been born again? All those terribly important posts, unaccounted for.
I don't really care- heck, it's kinda nice being a newbie again- but it
does make me wonder if some virtual monkey wrench hasn't been thrown
into the virtual machinery.

This has happened several times now. It happened to me too. Max can restore it for you, if you wish!

No, I stoled your posts, and sold the whole lot on eBay for $.50 a pop.

Most of them were worth much less...I just hope you hung on to the ones that were in their original packaging.

I even have some NRFB (never removed from box) posts autographed by Rodney James Dio!

Yeah, but each of those posts is a gem...
...as if children, I could hardly bear to part with each one. Loving
phrases and letters that sprung forth from my keyboard like the
veritable Aphrodite from the foam...every word delicately chosen like
the choicest grapes from the ripe vine, every punctuation mark dotted
with Polyhymnia's own pencil. Bitter tears were wept and keen sorrows
suffered as I uttered those heartbreaking words: "Post Reply".
Take heed of me, good men and women of Prog; just as you are, so once
was I...as a god among men I walked, fearing no man alive whilst I
proudly bore the glittering herald of my post count. Now all is ashes
and ruin, and I creep along the scorched earth of my fallen glory,
amongst trolls and n00bz and other such unclean spirits.
Oh cruel fortune! Oh wicked fate! Should not the very html tags
themselves not rise to mourn? Where are the black-garbed women to tear
their hair and rend their garments asunder? Naked of posts unto this
world I came, and naked shall I vanish into the respite of oblivion.
