My favorite is "Boys in the Band", follow by "Knots"  and "Cry for Everyone"

Never liked that album. Don't know why. It sounds good, but I feel nothing.

My feelings as well, my least favourite of their first six or so. Still an easy pick as I really dig the song "The Boys In The Band".

Though Octopus is my fourth favorite GG album, "Raconteur, Troubadour" still blows me away with its originality.

Agree 100%

My vote goes to The Advent of Panurge.

I just prefer Knots

It's my fifth favourite Gentle Giant album.

My ranking:

1. Acquiring the Taste
2. Three Friends
3. Gentle Giant
4. In a Glass House
5. Octopus
6. Free Hand
7. Power and the Glory
8. Interview

Later studio albums I'd rather not mention.

Of the tracks, I vote "Advent of Panurge". My second choice would be "Think of Me With Kindness".
Just a fanboy passin' through.

I won't argue with that. I do however still prefer the atmosphere, warmth and playfulness on their first quartet of albums - which is why I revisit them more often.

Everything from the wonderful debut, up to and including In A Glass House, is flawless in my books. After that, still lots to enjoy.

Raconteur, Dog and Boys are awesome. Not a big fan of the other songs. Octopus is weak compared the Acquiring, Three, Glass and Free
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.
