Agreed !! I don't care if Wakeman used most of his rig to replicate an orchestra's sound spectrum, it's kinda goofy and sticks out like a sore thumb....... Minor glitch, really ; Fragile still rates as a 5 star for me.

Many, starting with Cans and Brahms. In my opinion only the last track is essential.

Totally, Tom! It's the sort of thing the Caped Crusader got better at later on, but I bet this particular interpretation must make classical purists cringe!

I'll admit, I can listen to it now when I used to just simply skip it, but I still think `It's so short, it'll be over soon, just ride it out...'

^ Yep - just a little bump in the road. Still have a soft-spot for Fragile - back to 1987 !! That's where it all began for me..............

The repetitive We Have Heaven, and Five Percent For Nothing which isn't even a song, it's warm-up exercise.

Its a toss up between the cheerful but out of place Cans and the random 5%... I will go for 5% to even the score a bit.

Roundabout, South Side and Heart of the Sunrise are all masterpieces. We Have Heaven, Long Distance > The Fish and Mood For A Day are all awesome, too (especially The Fish). The only two weak tracks are Rick's level 2 conservatory etude and Bill Bruford's 35 seconds of nonsense.

Cans is the worst; at least 5% gives me a laugh, and is over quicker.

Five Percent for Nothing, it's just a pointless track.

All the solo tracks are pretty dreadful, but Five Percent for Nothing is pointless.

The band tracks are all pretty good, though.

5% for Nothing, the easier because this is a very short one.

I don't know. 5% for Nothing would me the one, I guess, but it's so short that it doesn't really matter. Cans and Brahms isn't really that bad, but it's not that good either, and it takes more listening time, so it actually matter more on the album. I guess I'll have to go for that one. Now, I understand what Wakeman really wanted to contribute to his solo spot is what later became "Catherine of Aragon", but he wasn't able to because of the writing credits arrangements between the record companies he and Yes belonged to... if it had been so, then Fragile would have been even more wonderful than it ended up being (on the other hand, we would be missing a wonderful track from his wonderful solo debut).
