I think this is going to be a recurring theme. Enjoyable first 2 or 3 minutes, then the tinkling, random snare shots and fart noises for another 10 minutes.

Over the last ten years I've slowly warmed up to Moonchild...but I still can't enjoy the overly saccharine feel of Epitaph.

I Talk To The Wind does the least for me. Dull and dreary, with some of Peter Sinfield's least interesting writing.

Moonchild, interestingly enough, is my favourite song off of the album, especially "The Illusion".

Their pityful first attempt to create a 10+-minute song.

After all these years, I've come to like all this songs, so I cannot vote against any of them.

21st Century is the best, Moonchild is the second best, the rest are flawed but good. Went with I Talk To The Wind.

I might have rated the thing five stars were it not for the directionless tinkering of "Moonchild."

BTW, just in case anyone's interested in an entire album of Moonchild-like material, I'll just leave this here Thumbs Up

I avoided this one and Red because obviously Moonchild and Providence would get most of the votes.

Also, to all the Moonchild naysayers, give the review by Certif1ed a read:

I used to think that Moonchild was "fine, but not great" until I read this and gave me a bit of perspective.

Perhaps try Larks' Tongues in Aspic with Book of Saturday removed as an option? I honestly can't say what would lose that lineup.

Somebody's gotta vote for/against the Schizoid Man, so it seems it's gotta be me.

I used to think like most of you...  but then I was illuminated and educated by the Mark as to what a F O O L I was...

to the point I see it as the best and most interesting off the album.

I Talk to the Wind. Not bad.. there isnt' a bad one on here.  Just the least interesting...

That was the KC I'm going with...but I remove nothing.

Of course the somewhat aimless `Moonchild' would get my vote, but I was really ticked off to read about Steven Wilson apparently cutting several minutes of the track out on the remaster a few years back. That piece may have its problems, but I HATE that kind of `re-writing' of history. I'd rather hear the album faults and all in the way it was originally presented.

Same goes for when CD reissues add either bonus tracks to the START of albums, or even leave off tracks altogether! Brain....shutting down!

I always loved Moonchild, the atmosphere, Fripps noodling and the overall idea of that kind of a song, a beautiful experiment imo. But if I gotta vote here, I'll vote for it because it's no match against the rest.

Hmm... this one is tricky. Definetly not 21st centuary for being a massive force on Prog and future Metal to come. Definetly not I talk to the wind as it has my favourite flute solo of all time and inspired me to master this instrument one day. Definetly not Moonchild for its avant-soundscapes that decribe a nightime forest perfectly.

That leaves Epitaph and Court which are both brilliant tracks in their own right (this is a near perfect album). Going for Epitaph as the middle section can make my attention drift sometimes while Court always has my complete focus.
