I'll happily buy a reasonably priced 160GB player, if there is an existing DAP out there that meets that criteria I'll be happy.

There should be a portable music player that would come with a replaceable SSD.

SSD isn't necessary - you can get 120gb SD cards and music players that can read them.

I suppose once your SD card is full, you can insert a new one to replace it?...

I assumed they'd be ridiculously expensive but apparently they've gone down in price.

Still, my experience of SD cards is that they fail randomly and for no reason.
