https://www.facebook.com/groups/kaipadacapo/?fref=nf http://www.flowerkings.se/discography.php?p=kaipadacapo I think this should be a new group? I like everything Roine Stolt does, so this should be good. Edited by javajeff - September 18 2016 at 04:58 |

Kaipa DaCapo's 'Dårskapens Monotoni' album is officially released in a just over a week's time: http://www.progshine.net/2016/09/kaipa-dacapo-to-release-new-album-darskapens-monotoni-in-september.html.
Perhaps you might want to edit your topic title to include a suggested sub genre to help the appropriate evaluation team to spot it? With both Kaipa and The Flower Kings already here under Symphonic Prog, I'm expecting this to be in much the same vein...but until we get full samples of all seven tracks we can't really say for certain. Here's the album preview anyway: Sounds very promising!

They've uploaded a full song from the upcoming album:
https://www.reverbnation.com/kaipadacapo/song/26661909-drskapens-monotoni-by-kaipa-da Typical Stolt themes and motifs, for better and worse - he has a playing style I can easily recognize, really emphasizes on syncopation, sometimes a bit excessive on echoes, and some of his solos remind me Latimer whilst going slightly overboard. Despite it sounding negative, I actually really like his playing style. Bits of the song sound like pre-2000 Flower Kings and I'm pretty sure I feel some hints of his collaboration with Anderson. Sounds really promising. I am curious whether they went with this name due to bad blood between them and Hans Lundin (the only founding member left in the original Kaipa lineup). The original Kaipa posted an update on Facebook a few months ago about working on new material, but have been silent for quite a while now. |

^ Looks like, yes - for the time being Symphonic Team deliberated to keep it that way, and I updated info on the album's page accordingly

Hi.
I don't agree with " New album under Kaipa ". IMO "Kaipa Da Capo" is another band and they are not Kaipa. They must have their own page IMO . They have different Line-Up to Kaipa's last 4-5 albums . Different musicians make different music. Musicians like Reingold , Ågren and Lundström and Aleena are not be in Kaipa Da Capo (specially 2 lead Vocalists changed ). These musicians are not "Just Playing Instruments" guys. I think we must respect to them (Kaipa Da Capo) and use the name that they want. (IMO)

Looks like Kaipa Da Capo was created. I guess the original 5 albums stay under Kaipa.

My personal opinion is that they are an offshot and should be in the same page with a note.
But we are a team and after discussing and even when the majority agreed with me, we decided to create a new page, that RdtProg created almost immediately. We try to solve the problems in a maximum of 48 hours after notified. |

Each of us have different opinions. The important thing is respect to opposite opinions (IMO).
