Ian Anderson - Amazing, mellow voice, energetic flute.
Ian Underwood - Best sax player ever to grace rock music. Playful sound.
David Gilmour - Deeply emotional, cry-inducing solos and riffs.
Keith Emerson - Terrifying sound, incredible chops, rounds off the emotional spectrum.
Chris Squire - Back Vocals, wide range. Complements Anderson well and is an amazing player.
Bill Bruford - Technical, can play any mood, as perfect as a drummer can be.

6 man bands are legal aren't they?

Whoops, I forgot to account for Bruford and Squire's chemistry issues... Oh well, they can fight it out backstage as they usually do :)

Pretty cool band would like to hear that, good choice with Ian Underwood pretty useful on keyboards too.

So its you the Dave Mason Likemonster- I was going to slide kylie Minogue in the list but thought that might be a bit obviousHug

You know there is another Dave Mason from Oz (we like to hide the good stuff)

Actually it's not him, but it's not me either. There's someone else here who is the hero of prog archives.

Oh crap I totally forgot about his keyboard playing! Yeah that's also a very nice, funky bonus :)

Emerson, Hackett, Simon Phillips and John Entwhistle considered forming a band.

So did Bruford, Wetton and Wakeman.

none of these, not even Hackett; my guitar choice would be Roman Bunka (voice of the crowd: "who"???)

Dave Gilmore is an adequate jazz guitarist if you like that kind of thing but he ain't a Prog guitarist. Maybe you're thinking of a chap called Dave Gilmour instead? Can we then hazard that instead of Dave Mason (another guitarist who could be described as "adequate" thou' no great shakes as a Prog guitatist) adequate Prog drummer Nick Mason could be substituted?
What?

I'd still prefer Kylie Minogue, at least from behind anyway..............

David Byron - best vocalist, he could sing anything
Steve Hackett - of course
Vittorio Nocenzi - will conduct
Gary Thain - the most fluid & melodic bassist ever
Phil Collins - the best percussionist, he could play anything

I give Steve Hackett

Next question please.
You may see a smile on Tony Banksī face but thatīs unlikely.

Well, he could try to play the bongos with the feet (to play trombone with the feet is more difficult. Trust me.)

Lil' Wayne is one of the greatest technical guitar virtuosos I've ever heard.
