Two bass players whos both been integral too classic eras of Elton and Bowie, who also developed a distimct style and whos playing can be regarded amomg the soldiesy in the 70s.

Trevor Bolder by light years for me, a proeminent figure in Uriah Heep  engine and aswell he was part on Wishbone Ash. Never like it when he was in Bowie line up

Dee Murray man..  Thumbs Up Author of many great basslines... and most importantly.. one of my alltime favorites. Great example of it isn't how much you play.. but what you play. Very much in the McCartney school of bass playing.
