^ Bane was a physical character and the only guy in three movies who could take Batman in a fight, fights which were superb from a realistic perspective, by the way.   And most plot holes are explained in the way the Nolans tell a story; they expect us to make the connections ourselves.   As much as I love the first two, DKR is the greatest for complexity and storytelling.
