What are you watching on TV right now? ... Cont'd

we recently saw the second season of "The Bridge", a Danish-Swedish crime series. Scandinavian crime series are generally high-quality, but "The Bridge" really sticks out. we especially love the character of Saga Norén played by Sofia Helin. she is a top cop but with zero social skills (she probably has the Asperger syndrome, though this is never explicitly said; since we both have it too, though not to her degree, we have a lot of sympathy for her). Sofia is simply brilliant in this role.

and her character has guts! to unarmedly attack a guy who is pointing a gun at you requires a lot of balls, but to unarmedly attack 2 guys pointing guns at you requires balls of steel the size of watermelons, especially if you are a woman. but she obviously knows what she is doing because she has both of them down and disarmed in about 10 seconds time with one of the guns in her hand at the end. and afterwards she coolly remarks to a colleague that the attack on her was badly planned and badly executed. what a woman!

new season of Durrels in Corfu tonight on PBS, worth catching if you like British humor

this Boston/L.A. game is insane, 17 innings already .

Nope, it's L.A.  

An over seven hour game, incredible.
