The site has been giving server errors again - several times so far today.

The server really does need sorting out - unfortunately these errors are not uncommon, but today they have been particularly annoying..

I've been getting the 524 error when trying to navigate the database (there were a few things I wanted to look up today, but that will have to wait until another day).

Navigating the forums hasn't been an issue, but posting gives an error message. When I back up after the forum error, the post I made is there. It's like it's stalling between the post submission and the return to the thread.

I thought I was the only one having problems with a slow server today until I read this thread. We could do with a faster server, like Boris Becker for instance. Smile

(I hope this is the right thread for this) For some reason the avatar I use on the forum won't show up on the site's front page or next to album reviews at all; instead it's a generic default one. When I try to change my settings, it just redirects me to the forum settings. Is there some way I can change this?

^I suspect it is due to imgur not being compatible with the main site code. Try uploading the image to your PA file manager and link it from there.

Upon further investigation it appears it can't be downloaded with a standard image file extension. I'm honestly surprised that the forum will even handle it. You will have to screen cap it and save as jpg, gif,or png. Unless you can find an alternate source with one of those file types.

Did that, and it's working now. Thank you!
