Not to be confused with the US band of the (+/-) same name Mälmstrom


New release from ProgQuebec of a band that recorded their sole album in 76 (at Morin Heights) but it was never released before this month

Maelstrom  is a quintet that could've sounded like the brother between Et Cetera (for its GG influences) and Pollen (for the sympho side)  and Sloche (the JR/F side)

Facebook page (with some band photos to choose from when they are eventually added): https://www.facebook.com/MaelstromQuebec. They describe their sub genre as "French Progressive Rock" - but I guess it will be either Symphonic or Eclectic Prog on this site. I'd be tempted to try it with the Symph boys first.

	I've passed the news on to the eclectic team. Fantastic group; I think they're a shoe-in for the site, whether they get approved for eclectic or symphonic.
