Magma just slightly above Gong.
Categories strain, crack and sometimes break, under their burden - step out of the space provided.

Solar Fire is a brilliant album by a band who get very little attention here.

Angel's Egg ever so slightly above Solar Fire. Love how Moerlen changed up the rhythm section when Pip Pyle went on to other things. That is not to say that I don't enjoy his playing, because I do; I just find Moerlen added a ferocity and wild nonchalance to the proceedings that he never would've been able to play...and I am infinitely happy about that. Gave us two wonderful albums in Angel's Egg and You.

Tales is the masterpiece this round, but Magma and the Mann had great albums, too.

Though I grew up with the Yes & ELP records, Remember the Future is a recent find that pushes past those two.

Pretty much the peak of prog - some top albums here: ELP, Yes, Gong and Magma.  Impossible to choose.

Yes just a tiny bit above ELP. Both albums are amazing.
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.
