Charles O'Connor (Horslips) and Ray Shulman (Gentle Giant).

None of those on the list come close.

I went with Darryl Way.
I'm not into Curved Air that much but I'm a fan of Darryl Way's Wolf.

As a Japanese, let me recommend Akihisa TSUBOY (KBB, Shinsekai, or so) or Keisuke TAKASHIMA (ptf).

I'm not a huge Kansas fanatic, but is there a reason Robbie Steinhart is not in the list?

One more vote for Eddie Jobson.

From these - David Cross just slightly above Sugarcane. From outside of the list, I think Dave Arbus is the most talented and creative prog violinist that ever was.
Categories strain, crack and sometimes break, under their burden - step out of the space provided.
